ABOUT THE PRESENTATION
Development of A Premium Quality Index using TRIZ
A premium quality index, called PQI, has been developed for measuring market reputation of product quality. PQI, which consists of product quality, sensible quality, and brand image, was designed based the principles of TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) in order to assess diverse functional characteristics of the product. This approach attempts to strengthen quality improvement linkage between the customer’s survey and the problem solving ideas. The index has been applied in comparing the premium quality levels of two leading smart phone brands. Producer’s expectations on PQI have been also investigated to illicit the gaps over consumer’s perceptions in the case study.
