ABOUT THE PRESENTATION
Systemic organisational constellations – the way to healthy organisation
What conditions are necessary for an organisation to be healthy? Health means that the employees in that organisation feel good and are able to work effectively. It also implies that the organisation fulfils the purpose in society for which it was originally established and that there is lively exchange within the organisation itself and between organisation and the outside world.
In the healthy system everyone who has contributed is acknowledged and the history of the system is spoken about, including all the difficulties. Everything has a place. Roles are created in conscious connection with the purpose of the whole system. There is balance between what each individual and team gives and what they receive. Everyone feels safe and able to relax into their own authority and apply it, willingly, for the good of the system.
In a system with high levels of organisational health, staff turnover is low and motivation high. There are no secrets, no shame about difficult events in the past, and nobody who has made a contribution to the system is forgotten or excluded. But when health is absent, so are the people. Individuals who are unsure of their place, their role or their level of responsibility in the system cannot be fully present and so don’t bring their talents and experience fully to the organisation.
There are different dynamics that arise whenever a system attempts to restore balance (place, order, exchange). These dynamics can be: reversing the order, identification with a goal, facing something that someone else cannot see, solving something that is not solved at another level etc.
An organisational constellation is a practical intervention that can illuminate the invisible and unspoken dynamics behind a relationship difficulty, a stuck issue or a persisting challenge.
Constellations provide a way of exploring and clarifying almost any kind of relationship system – between people and teams across and within organisation.
The purpose of the constellations is to restore system coherence so that everyone and everything is given its place and is free to operate at its best, from that place.
Organisational constellation is quite simple and powerful method to diagnose, understand, recognise and solve systemic unbalances. Systemic approach (systemic principles, system dynamics) will help leaders and managers to increase their level of awareness and understanding about their organisations and integrate these principles into holistic management system.
In the workshop systemic principles, dynamics and constellation principles will be explained and organisational constellation will be shown in practise.
