Quality Renaissance in Higher Education?

We invite you to submit your paper and participate in pre-congress Quality Renaissance in Higher Education?  Pre-congress is part of the 57th EOQ Congress Quality Renaissance - Co-creating a Viable Future (June 17-20, 2013). The aim of the congress is to present and share experiences and best practices in quality of higher education and its management.

We are looking for presentations that focus on new or well-proven practices as well as ideas for interactive workshops in the following areas:

  • New approaches to quality in higher education.
  • Best practices in quality management of higher education institutions.
  • Best practices regarding cooperation between higher education institutions and enterprises.
  • Innovation and quality in study process.
  • Innovation in leadership of higher education institutions.
  • Benchmarking and higher education – possibilities and difficulties.
  • Accreditation and quality management in higher education.
  • Evolution of quality thinking in higher education.
  • Excellence in higher education.

The papers will be presented in parallel working groups. Each presentation should have a maximum duration of 15 minutes and be followed by a discussion among participants.

When presenting the proposal your paper should include the following:

  • Title of the abstract
  • Name of the author, position in the institution/organization
  • Abstract of the paper with focus on one of the themes, between 300 and 500 words.

Proposals must be submitted to hei@quality2013.eu by January 17, 2013. Proposals received after this date will not be considered. Incomplete proposals will not be reviewed. Please do not send a hard copy or a PDF file. Final papers should be submitted by May 31, 2013.

Selection procedure

All papers are reviewed on the basis of the following criteria:

  • The paper has a clear focus that will be of interest to the workshop participants.
  • The argument, development and structure of the paper are logical, coherent and understandable.
  • The proposal is linked to one of the above-mentioned areas (see section ‘Call for Papers’).

The authors will be informed about the results of the selection process by February 15, 2013. All correspondence with authors will be by email.
