Andres Sutt

Andres Sutt is the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology as of 26 January 2021. He is a member of the Estonian Reform Party. Andres Sutt graduated from the University of Tartu in 1993 with a degree in finance and credit; from INSEAD in 2008 in the Advanced Management Program, and from Harvard Law School in 2015 in the field of Negotiations and Leadership.

He has been working at different in Estonian Central Bank (Eesti Pank), from 2001–2009, he was the Vice President at Eesti Pank. From 2009–2012, he was the Senior Adviser to the Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Nordic-Baltic Constituency and a Member of the Board of Directors. From 2012–2013, he was the Senior Adviser to the Executive Director of the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF). From 2013–2016, he was the Head of the Banking Division of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). From 2017–2018, he was the Director of Regulatory Relations and a Member of the Management Board at Eesti Energia, as well as the Head of Customer Services. From 2019 –2021, he was a member of the 14th Riigikogu, a member of the Finance Committee, and a member of the Anti-Corruption Select Committee.
